The 2022 Subaru BRZ is well-known as Subaru’s high-performance coupe, and the 2022 model year comes with more horsepower, torque, and acceleration, as well as improvements to handling. The 2022 Subaru BRZ will feature an all-new 2.4-liter direct-injection SUBARU BOXER® engine that produces 228 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque – a 15% increase. In addition, the 2022 BRZ comes standard with a six-speed close-ratio manual transmission to complement the powerhouse under the hood. Both the Premium and Limited trim levels are also available with a performance-tuned six-speed electronic direct-control automatic transmission, giving you options for how to own the road.

The 2022 Subaru BRZ remains a true sportscar – rear-wheel drive only, standard manual transmission, and an efficiently powerful engine. With this additional power, Subaru took the time to improved the suspension and driving dynamics to match. The 2022 Subaru BRZ chassis and body were re-engineered to be lighter, have a lower center of gravity, more torsion rigidity, quicker steering ratio, and retuned front and rear suspension. Braking power and upgraded high performance tires were also added, so all around performance of the 2022 BRZ has dramatically been improved. Design and Technology

Subaru was sure to keep the passenger in mind with the 2022 BRZ, refusing to sacrifice passenger comfort even while placing a tighter focus on the driver. Instrument controls and panels are easily visible thanks to an intuitive, driver-centric layout. The 7-inch customizable digital instrument panel features a digital speedometer readout and tachometer, both in clear view of the driver. A programmable meter next to the tachometer displays amps, coolant temperature, or Lateral-G.

The 2022 Subaru BRZ also features the new SUBARU STARLINK® 8.0-inch Multimedia Plus infotainment system. Coming standard for both the Premium and Limited trim levels, the system's Integrated Information Display includes smartphone integration with Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto. Bluetooth® hands-free phone connectivity is featured in conjunction with the smartphone integration systems. A rear-vision camera allows for optimum safety and awareness, and SiriusXM® services will help keep everyone entertained and informed.

Of course, with upgrades to the technology come upgrades to comfort and style. The interior cabin is lined with black leather with red stitching on the front seat bolsters, leather-wrapped steering wheel, shifter boot, and parking brake boot. The front seats on the Limited trim level come standard with Ultrasuede® upholstery and feature red leather accents and dual-mode seat-heater controls. The steering wheel integrates control switches for audio settings, cruise control options, and Bluetooth® connectivity.

For the first time, the 2022 model comes equipped with the award-winning Subaru EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology (available on the automatic transmission option). This revolutionary system includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Pre-Collision Braking System, Lane Departure, and Sway Warning, as well as Lead Vehicle Start Alert, all to keep you safe on the road.
