The 2023 Subaru Forester Performance, Features, and Pricing

No other car brand epitomizes an adventuresome lifestyle and delivers a better value than Subaru. Continuing this trend and continuing its release of 2023 models, Subaru announced all the details for the new 2023 Forester recently. The Subaru Forester is an excellent car for the avid adventurer, offering adequate storage and roof rails to haul stuff without being as large as a truck or full-size SUV. In fact, the Subaru Consumer Reports ranked the Forester as No. 1 in the top-ten best compact SUVs with an excellent 90% overall score. At Subaru of Englewood, we are excited about the 2023 Forester, and you can expect to see it in our showroom once it starts rolling out in December. Engine Performance, Gas Mileage, and Towing Capacity

All 2023 Forester models pack a 2.5-liter direct injection SUBARU BOXER® engine that cranks out 182 hp and 176 lb.-ft. of torque. It's mated with a Lineartronic® Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that transfers power to the wheels through the Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system designed to maximize traction in rain, snow, on rough roads, or even when there's no road at all. On fuel efficiency, the Forester gets an estimated 33 MPG on the highway, 26 MPG on city streets, and a combined 29 MPG. Moreover, the Base trim has a towing capacity of 1,500 pounds and features Trailer Stability Assist. The Wilderness trim, Subaru's most rugged and trail-capable Forester, boasts a towing capacity of 3,000 pounds.

Safety Features and In-Car Technology

Apart from its humanitarian programs, Subaru is also committed to ensuring car safety. For the 2023 model year, the automaker fitted each Forester trim with seven airbags: driver and front passenger frontal airbags, driver's knee airbag, side curtain airbags, and side pelvis/torso airbags. The car is steeped in safety technology. Standard across all trims is EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The updated version of the award-winning active safety system, which Subaru launched last year, has significantly improved the model's overall safety, thanks to its expanded field of view and updated software. It includes Automatic Emergency Steering in models with Blind-Spot Detection, Lane-Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. This feature works with EyeSight and Blind-Spot Detection systems to assist with steering control to prevent collisions at speeds lower than 50 mph. Subaru designed the 2023 Subaru Forester with the tech-savvy shopper in mind. Inside, you'll find a user-friendly dual-screen center layout, driver navigation with voice command, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and multiple USB ports both in the front and rear.
